Do you know what can happen when you get water under your sinks? If you get a leak in your sinks and it does not get fixed right away, then in time it will cause water damage, and it will rot the wood that is under there. You will have an odor that has a horrible smell to it that will make your nose want to jump off your face. That is how bad it can be. It will be so moist and rotted under there that you will have to take it out and repair the damage that the water has caused. When it is like that, mold will grow and spread and get on everything that is under there, like your pots, bowls, pans, and the other appliances that are down there.
Your sink will start to bow because of all the rotting, and soon they will cave in, which can cause it to fall through the floor if it has gotten really bad. You will start to see mold everywhere - even on the outside of the sink like on the walls, on the counter, or both. It will be unsafe for you to be around or to breathe in the air because of the toxins that the mold will create. Your cabinets will start to fall apart, and it will eat the papers that are in it. It can get on your silverware that you eat with, and that is not good because they will be no good anymore. Then you have to get rid of it.
I have seen what water damage can do to it and it is not good. In fact, it's absolutely nasty to see. Wood will be all over the floor and the bottom of your sinks will be caved in all the way to the floor, under it, or all the way through all of it. Not only will the top be bowed in but also the side will be leaning in or it will be broken right down the middle. The linoleum will either fold up or break apart. You will start to see the floor and the rotting that may be there. It also can eat away at the wall that is under there and it can fall apart, too. You need to always check under there to make sure that this does not happen or start to happen. If there is a water leak under your sink, then you need to take care of it fast and get the water cleaned up so mold an rotting won't occur.
